About the Leedy-Voulkos Art Center
Founded in 1985 by Jim Leedy, with the vision of initiating a thriving art community; The Leedy-Voulkos Art Center's mission is to profile world class art work made by Kansas City's creative community. We continue the founder's legacy of sharing professional resources with developing artists. We do this by balancing exceptional exhibition programming with education and community outreach. We exist to exhibit compelling shows of international talent, while providing a venue for local, regional, and national artists to develop their careers. We exist to help build and support professional art making in order to retain Kansas City's talent and to conduct educational programming in support of our exhibition schedule. |
